Setting up your router
How the guest sign-in redirect works, step-by-step instructions for every access point brand we support, and fixes for the most common issues.
Your access point gets a web address to redirect to
Every venue gets its own captive portal link (shown on your dashboard under Settings). Your router or access point needs to send new guests there instead of straight to the internet.
You turn on "Guest Portal" (or similar) on your own router/AP
Ordinary home broadband routers don't have this feature at all — it's specific to business-grade access points (UniFi, Meraki, Aruba, RUCKUS, TP-Link Omada). Pick your brand below for exact steps.
For most brands, guests are let online automatically
Once you've added your controller's login details in Settings > Network, our system tells your access point to grant each guest access the moment they finish signing in — no extra step needed on your end after setup.
If your router can't do any of this, a small extra access point fixes it
A TP-Link Omada access point (roughly £45–£70) plugs into your existing router over Ethernet and takes over just the guest WiFi — about 15 minutes to set up.

Ubiquiti (UniFi)
For UniFi Network Application (cloud key, dream machine, or self-hosted controller).
Changes apply to all connected guests
Cloud-hosted vs. self-hosted controllers
In the UniFi Network application, go to Settings → WiFi, select the guest network, then open Guest Control.
Don't have a compatible router?
Ordinary home broadband routers (BT, Virgin Media, Sky, TalkTalk, Xfinity, Spectrum, AT&T) don't have a guest sign-in feature at all — it isn't a setting to find, the feature genuinely isn't there. The straightforward fix is a small access point that plugs into your existing router and takes over just the guest WiFi.
