Who we are

Dark Smarts Limited (company no. 16698137), trading as VenueWiFi, 1 Mariners Reach, Chepstow, is the controller of your information. Contact: hello@venuewifi.io.

What we collect

Your email address, the venue name and location you give us, and your answers to the report questions. Payment is processed by Stripe — we don’t collect or store card details.

Why, and our basis

To produce and send the report you’ve asked for and bought (performance of our contract with you), and to reply to you about it. We don’t sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing.

Where the report data comes from

Public information from Google and other public sources, combined with your answers.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. To run the product and produce your report, your information is handled by: Stripe (to take payment), Resend (to send your emails), and Anthropic (the AI that writes your report, which receives the venue details you give us). It’s also held by the providers that host our app and database (Vercel and Neon), and we use Google to look up public information about your venue. Each of these only uses your data to provide their service to us.

Marketing

If you ask us to (by ticking the box when you request a report), we’ll send you occasional emails about the report and VenueWiFi. If you’ve bought a report, we may also email you about our monthly plan, which is related to it, unless you’ve told us not to. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time. If you do, we keep a minimal record of your request so we don’t email you again.

How long we keep it

We keep records of your order and payment for as long as the law requires (tax records are typically kept for six years). If you enquire but don’t buy, we delete your details after 12 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, or to stop using it — email hello@venuewifi.io. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
